Yesterday, steffi, jiah, jiayi, eileen, hs and I went to sentosa.
There was this very irritating green man who threatened to fine us twice. so rude lor.
Anyway, first we went to palawan beach. very unfortunately, we did not see the sign that said beware of jellyfish and stone fish until it was too late. i sensed a kind of stinging sensation. at first it wasn't much. until it began to swell. round circle swells at my arm. jiah also kena. then we remembered seawater can incapacitate(sp?) stings. so we tried it. sorta worked! less swollen less painful. and then we spotted the culprit (or so we think it is) lurking near us in the shallow waters. it was transparent and very (sadly) cute. hs was the one who spotted it. i wouldn't have paid it any attention. anyway the stings were quite mild so after a while the pain and swelling subsided.
yup then later when we saw the sign they said actually we shdn't put any ice on the wound or have contact with fresh water. then steffi was very confused becoz as a quiz member she noes v plainly that we r supposed to apply cold compress on the wound for at least 10 min. i think poor steffi was really traumatised. with us getting stung and all. haha.
oh and hs and jiayi spotted mudskippers! and they called us to go see. really cute lah. waddle waddle on land using their fins. actually i could have mistook them as lizards. look like mah. and eileen was greatly surprised by a particularly large sch of zebrafish that swam past us. haha. and those jellybabies. or so what steffi and i call them. coz there were loads of them washed onshore all lined at the shoreline, near rocks etc. practically everywhere. those pulsating stuff. steffi concluded they were baby jellyfishes. i dunno, maybe lor. they look like mah. also transparent. and as described by the sign " bell-shaped, and gellatin-like creatures" smth like that.
ya so later we all went 7-eleven to buy lunch and ate at a playgrd. wheee. ya. so those r the main pts. yup. :)
